Virtual Assistant (Sales & Customer Service)

Full-Time | Remote (South Africa-based)
Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm UK Time (30-minute lunch break)

About the Role

Our client is a UK-based catering company who is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Virtual Assistant to support both sales and customer service functions.

This fully remote role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys engaging with customers, and can confidently balance revenue-generating activities with delivering exceptional customer support. You will play a key role in managing the full customer journey — from initial enquiry through to post-service follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Support

Engage with potential customers via email, phone, and online enquiries (including website leads)
Identify customer needs and recommend suitable catering solutions
Convert leads into confirmed bookings
Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
Upsell and cross-sell services where appropriate
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services, menus, and promotions
Customer Service

Respond to customer enquiries in a timely, professional manner
Handle complaints and resolve issues effectively and empathetically
Process orders, amendments, and cancellations accurately
Maintain detailed and accurate customer records
Conduct follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
