POSITION: Energy Calculation Specialist
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (EST)
Compensation: 3200 – 4600 USD/month
Note: Independent contractor position
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS:
* Review residential construction plans, blueprints, elevations, and specifications.
* Interpret building plans to identify relevant construction and building-envelope characteristics.
* Perform HVAC load calculations, including Manual J calculations.
* Apply knowledge of US construction methods, building practices, and applicable codes to calculations and designs.
* Evaluate factors such as insulation, building materials, windows, orientation, and other building characteristics that impact HVAC requirements.
* Support HVAC equipment and system sizing based on project requirements.
* Prepare accurate energy and HVAC calculation documentation.
* Use technical software such as Wrightsoft, EnergyGauge, or other relevant tools to complete calculations and documentation.
* Review calculations and project information for accuracy and completeness.
* Coordinate with internal teams and project stakeholders to resolve questions or discrepancies.
* Maintain organized records of calculations, plans, revisions, and supporting documentation.
* Stay informed about relevant US construction practices, building codes, and HVAC standards.
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Perform other duties related to energy calculations, HVAC design, and construction support as assigned.
