Job Title: Assessment and Intake Specialist
Location: Remote — South Africa. This opening also accepts the Philippines and eligible Latin American countries; within Africa, eligibility is limited to South Africa.
Salary Range: Up to USD 2,500 per month, depending on experience.
Work Schedule: US business hours; exact schedule confirmed during selection.
Contractor Note: Independent contractor position.

About the Role:
Conduct detailed assessment and intake calls with prospective customers, including vulnerable people. Use sound judgment, clear documentation and careful hand-offs to help people access appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed phone assessments and intake conversations.
• Assess needs, document information accurately and coordinate referrals or hand-offs.
• Protect confidential information and follow HIPAA-level confidentiality practices.
Qualifications:
• At least two years as an Intake Coordinator or in closely related healthcare, behavioral-health, social-services or patient/customer intake work.
• Excellent spoken English for detailed calls with US customers and vulnerable people.
• Strong documentation, judgment and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Haves:
• Behavioral-health, mental-health or substance-use intake experience.
