I have been homeschooling my child for 2 years now. Grade 2 and 3.

I have 17 years extensive experience within the shipping / freight forwarding industry, the latter part of which has been as

Senior Sea freight Import Team Leader. During this time I have been extensively responsible for Ocean Freight, Forwarding and Cross Trade functions. I have had to deal and am familiar with the entire imports, forwarding, exports, logistics and transhipment functions.

I have recently been retrenched at Savino del Bene as Ocean Import Manager based at the Savino del Bene-Office in Glenmarais, Kempton Park. I was responsible for managing a team of 13.

Previous positions held include Senior Seafreight Import Team Leader; on-site operations manager with primary focus on Freight forwarding. During this time I had also been extensively responsible for Ocean Freight, Air Freight and Cross Trade functions. I had to deal with and am familiar with the entire imports, exports, logistics and transhipment functions. I was responsible for 6 staff that had formed part of my team. I was responsible for the managing of the team ensuring that the team stayed motivated, to provide guidance and support and ensure that KPI’s are met in line with the clients’ requirement. As a team we were responsible for the entire Airfreight function relating to imports & exports, entire cross trade function for Samsung into the African Continent and the entire Ocean Freight relating to Durban – imports & export functions, servicing Samsung.

I am a responsible trustworthy employee who has been commended, for the very high standard of work I deliver and maintain, from the highest levels of management at companies which have formed part of my portfolio. I am able to work extremely efficiently with little / no supervision. My excellent relationship with clients has resulted in additional business opportunities for the companies that I have been employed at.

I am driven, self-motivated, hardworking, committed and reliable. I am able to build excellent relationships with both internal and external customers. I am loyal to my employer and consider myself an asset to the company. I am currently in search of a more conducive working environment with more challenging and rewarding growth opportunities within my field of expertise and career path.
