About the Role
We’re looking for an Inside Sales Lead to take ownership of all inbound sales activity across both Domestic and Export markets.

You’ll manage inbound inquiries, qualify customer needs, prepare quotations, coordinate with internal teams, and help buyers move smoothly from first contact to first order.

This is a hands-on commercial role today, but with a strategic growth path – as sales volumes continue to increase, you’ll play a central role in building a full Inside Sales team, eventually specializing by market and region.

Key Responsibilities
-Manage and respond to all inbound inquiries (domestic and export) via email, website, and phone.
-Conduct customer discovery to understand product needs, species, grade, frequency, and key buying criteria.
-Prepare and issue accurate quotations using HubSpot CRM and internal quoting tools.
-Manage the full sales process from RFQ → Quote → Sales Order → Invoice.
-Work closely with internal Lumber Experts, Logistics, and Production teams to ensure smooth order flow.
-Follow up consistently on open RFQs and unconfirmed quotes.
-Maintain clear and accurate records, notes, and communication logs in HubSpot.
-Build and nurture long-term relationships with both domestic and export buyers.
-Collaborate with leadership to design and refine sales systems, KPIs, and reporting.
-Help recruit, train, and mentor future inside sales hires as the team grows.

Requirements
-5+ years’ experience in inside sales, account management, and/or commercial operations.
-Proven ability to manage full-cycle B2B sales – from inquiry through quotation to invoicing.
-Strong written and spoken English
-Experience using HubSpot CRM (or similar) to manage pipelines and quotes.
-Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
-Comfortable working remotely in US Central Time (CST) hours.
-Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup.

Industry Knowledge & Training
Experience in the lumber, timber, or wood products industry is a major advantage and will be prioritized.

However, comprehensive training will be provided on:

Hardwood species, grades, and terminology.
Customer types and use cases.
Export documentation and logistics coordination.
Internal systems, pricing tools, and quoting workflows.

Preferred Skills
Experience handling both domestic (USA) and international customers.
Familiarity with manufacturing, construction, or industrial materials.
Exposure to export sales processes and Incoterms.
Experience improving or building inside sales systems and reports.
Leadership potential — ability to build and scale a team.
