Job Title: Client Support Specialist – US Payroll
Location: Remote – Worldwide. South African applicants welcome.
Compensation: USD 2,600–3,000 per month
Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM US Pacific time.

About the Role
Support US business clients with payroll processing and client service by phone and email. Exceptional CEFR C1 or C2 English is required. Recent equivalent certification is strongly preferred. Without certification, provide a video recording lasting at least five minutes that clearly demonstrates C1/C2 English. Certified applicants do not have to provide a recording.
Key Responsibilities
• Answer live client calls and own the payroll support inbox.
• Process US payroll, prepare pay runs and maintain employee records.
• Support client onboarding, compliance and benefits administration.
• Resolve payroll issues accurately and calmly while protecting confidential employee information.
Qualifications
• Exceptional English communication at CEFR C1 or C2 level.
• Hands-on payroll processing for US companies in a real US payroll system such as isolved, ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Paylocity, Paycom or Dayforce; isolved specialism is not required.
• Professional customer support or client service experience by phone and email.
• Availability for 8:00 AM–5:00 PM US Pacific time, a quiet workspace and stable internet.
• Curiosity, resourcefulness, reliability, discretion, accuracy and calm service under pressure.
English Evidence
An EF SET score of 71 or higher is C2. Scores of 61–70 are C1 and are considered alongside an outstanding writing exercise. Recent equivalent IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge results are also strongly preferred. Without certification, a video recording lasting at least five minutes must clearly demonstrate C1/C2 English.
Compensation Note
The top of the published range is for strong senior experience. Latin America is preferred; applicants elsewhere need solid US payroll and client-service experience and exceptional English.
