About the job
Growth Marketing Manager — Monte & Coe

Remote (South Africa based) · Full-time · EST working hours · Paid in USD

We build things people keep for a lifetime. We need someone who can build the engine that sells them.

This is a role for a builder, not a button-pusher.

Read on and you’ll know within a minute whether that’s you.

The short versionThe role: Own the day-to-day marketing engine behind both sides of our business, DTC e-commerce and B2B corporate gifting.

Where: Fully remote, based in South Africa. Hours: Full-time on EST. For someone in South Africa, that’s roughly mid-afternoon into the evening (SAST). Pay: $1,200 to $1,800 USD/month base, paid in USD, plus a performance bonus tied to the revenue and results you drive.

Growth: A build-it-from-the-ground-up role with real ownership, and first claim on leading the function as it scales.

Who we areWe make luxury everyday essentials: full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather goods crafted in small batches in our Toronto and Montreal studios. We sell these online.

The other half of the business is corporate. We design and deliver premium gifting and live, onsite brand experiences for some of the biggest companies in North America, including Air Canada, Marriott, and Audi.

Picture an “Accessories Bar” set up at a client’s event, where their guests get to chose and luxury gift, monogrammed for them on the spot.

Two businesses, one brand, both growing fast. Right now the marketing behind them runs on founder energy. That’s exactly why we’re hiring you.

The roleYou’re the engine room. You work with the founders to dial in the strategy and turn it into campaigns that ship and revenue that shows up. Paid media, email, content: you own the execution end to end.

Year one, your focus is clear. On the DTC side, that’s profitable customer acquisition through Meta and real revenue growth through email. On the B2B side, you’ll support lead generation on LinkedIn as that channel scales. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with the founders and the sales team, and you’ll be trusted to run your own lane.

This is a doer’s role. You should want to be inside the ad account, writing the copy, building the flow, and reading the numbers.

What your day looks likeBuilding and optimizing Meta campaigns for the DTC business: acquisition, retargeting, promotions.

Watching the numbers and moving budget to what works.

Writing, building, and scheduling email in Klaviyo, and improving the core flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement) until email pulls its weight as a revenue channel.

Running the content calendar for the brand and the founders across Instagram and LinkedIn, turning events and client stories into content that lands.

Supporting B2B lead gen on LinkedIn alongside sales.

Writing the briefs, testing the hooks, and letting the data pick the winners.

Reporting on what actually matters (ROAS, CAC, email revenue, cost per lead) in plain language the team can act on.

Let’s be upfront about who this is forWe’re not looking for someone to fill a seat, and we’re not looking for someone who needs the plan handed to them line by line. If you want a job where the strategy is always someone else’s, where you run the ads exactly as briefed and log off, this is not it. You’ll be bored, and we’ll both know quickly.

But if you’re the kind of marketer who takes a goal and figures out the path, who has taste and can also read a spreadsheet, who wants to own outcomes instead of activity, keep reading. This was built for you.

Who thrives hereYou own results, not tasks. “The campaign ran” isn’t the win. The revenue is. You have range. You move from a creative brief to a performance dashboard without missing a beat. You have taste. You can protect a premium brand and still drive hard numbers, and you know which one matters when. You write well. Clean, persuasive copy comes naturally. You’re organized and nothing slips. Flows, calendars, tests, reports, all handled. You’re curious and coachable. You test, you learn, you adjust, fast. You can run your own day in a remote role without anyone standing over you.

What you’ll need3+ years in social media marketing, growth, performance, or digital marketing, with real accountability for results. Hands-on experience running Meta ads and managing email in a platform like Klaviyo. The ability to read campaign data and make the call on what to change. Strong writing. A lot of this job is words.

Nice to have (but not required)Shopify, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, Figma, Creative Suite. Experience marketing both B2C and B2B. Experience with luxury, hospitality, events, or founder-led brands. A genuine eye for design, quality, and premium brands.

The part that matters most: earning and growthWe’re not offering a seat. We’re offering a build.

Right now this function is small, and that is the whole opportunity. The systems you set up, the campaigns you ship, the revenue you unlock: that work is visible, and it’s yours.

On top of your base, there’s a performance bonus tied directly to the revenue and results you drive.

The better the business does because of your work, the better you do.

And the ceiling isn’t really a ceiling. We’re growing, and we would far rather grow a leader from the inside than hire one later. The person who builds this engine is first in line to run it as the team expands. If you’re as good as you think you are, this is where you prove it.
