The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

Manage and optimise paid media accounts across Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads
Monitor performance daily and make ongoing optimisation decisions
Manage budgets, pacing, and spend efficiency across accounts
Launch, pause, and iterate campaigns based on performance signals
Review ad creatives supplied by the team and suggest improvements in flight
Work with clients to understand their business goals, audiences, and constraints
Provide strategic input on messaging, offers, and structure as campaigns run
Ensure tracking, conversions, and account hygiene are working as expected
Communicate clearly with clients on performance, insights, and next steps
Flag risks, issues, or opportunities early and propose practical solutions

What Success Looks Like

Accounts are stable, well-structured, and actively managed
Budgets are paced correctly with no surprises
Performance issues are identified early and addressed quickly
Clients feel understood and well-supported
Campaigns improve over time through sensible iteration, not guesswork
The founder does not need to be in the accounts day-to-day

The Person

4+ years’ paid media experience, including 2+ years in an agency environment
Strong hands-on knowledge of Meta Ads and Google Ads (campaign structure, optimisation, and troubleshooting)
Experience managing multiple client accounts and budgets simultaneously
Confident client communicator, able to build trust and provide clear, practical recommendations
Independently analyses performance data and makes optimisation decisions without close supervision
Able to review creatives and suggest improvements in-flight
Solid understanding of tracking, conversion events, attribution, and account hygiene

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: R500 – R550 per hour (depending on experience)

Through Marketing Pros, the successful candidate will have access to a shared workspace in Cape Town, a Slack group with other South Africa-based marketing professionals, and regular social and training events.
