Marketing Manager – DesignGuru 📍 Remote | Full-Time
DesignGuru is a subscription design agency doing $170k+ MRR with 130+ B2B clients – built without a single round of VC funding.
No bloated headcount. No Silicon Valley ego. Just fast, quality design work and a team that genuinely gives a damn.
Now we need someone to help us make some noise.
We’re hiring a Marketing Manager to own our growth engine — someone who thinks in campaigns, moves fast, and isn’t afraid to pick a fight with the big players on our behalf.
What you’ll own:
→ SEO/GEO/AEO — building our organic search presence from the ground up. Content strategy, keyword targeting, link building, the works.
→ Newsletters & Organic Content — crafting emails and content our audience looks forward to reading. Educational, punchy, and on-brand.
→ Campaigns — running multi-channel across content, email, LinkedIn, paid, and whatever else actually works. If it’s not working, kill it. If it is, double down.
→ Brand Building — developing DesignGuru’s voice and positioning so we’re the obvious choice in a crowded market. Turning what we do into stories people actually want to read.
→ Strategy — owning the marketing function end-to-end. No waiting for sign-off on every little thing. Ship it, learn, repeat.
Who you are:
→ 3+ years in a B2B marketing role — ideally at an agency or SaaS company. You know what good looks like and you’ve built something from scratch rather than inherited a mature machine.
→ You can actually write. Clear, punchy copy that converts — not waffle dressed up as strategy.
→ You’ve got opinions on what works and the data to back them up. You’re obsessive about results and allergic to vanity metrics.
→ Organised chaos is your comfort zone. Multiple campaigns running at once? No problem.
→ You’re not intimidated by competing against well-funded rivals — you see it as an opportunity.
→ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. We care more about what you’ve shipped than where you studied.
What you won’t get: A big team. A massive budget. A slow-moving approval process.
What you will get: Real ownership. No committee approvals. No 6-week strategy reviews. You’ll work directly with the founder – your ideas won’t disappear into a Slack black hole.
