About the job
This role blends hands-on marketing execution with proposal/RFP support to generate new business opportunities for a growing NYC-based security systems integrator.
You’ll drive visibility and lead flow through SEO, content, and social media, while also supporting compliant, high-quality proposal submissions for government and commercial bids. The ideal candidate is a B2B marketing generalist who can also switch hats and handle structured RFP documentation with precision
Core Focus
Marketing & Demand Gen
Own local SEO for NYC metro: keyword research (e.g., “security assessments NYC”, “security cameras New York”), on-page optimization, and Google Business Profile improvements.
Plan and publish consistent content: blogs, social posts, and thought leadership tailored to physical security buyers.
Recommend and coordinate short talking-head videos (you ideate/script, client records, you edit/publish).
Explore/test paid social ads to boost awareness and lead capture, with realistic expectations for long-cycle B2B sales.
Proposals / RFPs
Interpret complex RFQs/RFPs; create detailed checklists and ensure 100% compliance with requirements.
Draft strong scope/approach narratives; track deadlines; submit proposals on time.
Maintain a proposal library and tracker, updating templates for speed and accuracy.
Prospecting / Pipeline Support
Research and identify target accounts (new construction, museums, commercial offices).
Build clean lead lists and execute non-spammy outreach sequences (email/LinkedIn) to secure first meetings.
Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)
Proven B2B marketing generalist with hands-on local SEO and content creation.
RFP/Proposal response experience (government or enterprise) with strict compliance.
Strong portfolio of work: SEO outcomes, content samples, campaigns, and redacted proposal excerpts.
Excellent English writing skills (concise, professional, persuasive).
Deadline-driven: able to prioritize RFPs when urgent.
US Eastern Time overlap for meetings and check-ins.
Integrity in outreach—relationship-first, never spammy.
Nice-to-Haves
Background in physical security, construction, or systems integration.
Light video editing for reels/talking-head content (B-roll, captions).
Experience running paid social for high-ticket B2B deals.
Familiarity with CRM tools and prospect research.
Tools (Preferred)
SEO: Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Moz/Ahrefs/Similar.
Content: Google Docs, Canva/Adobe; LinkedIn & Instagram scheduling tools.
Proposals: Google Workspace/Microsoft Office; project trackers (Sheets/ClickUp/Notion).
