We’re WebDone, a UK web design and local SEO agency helping trades businesses such as plumbers, roofers, electricians and builders get found online and win more work.
We’re increasing outbound sales activity and need more qualified discovery calls booked with UK business owners.
This suits someone who has already done UK B2B outbound and wants a role with real earning upside. This is not a first sales job.
The role
You’ll make outbound calls to UK trades business owners and book them onto a discovery call with me.
You are not selling or closing. Your job is to start the conversation, handle the early brush-offs, qualify the prospect properly, and book appointments that actually show up and make commercial sense.
This is a high-volume role. Expect 80 to 100 dials per day. Most people will not answer. Some will be blunt. The people who do answer are often busy business owners on a job site, so you need to be quick, warm, clear and unflappable.
If a morning of rejection knocks you flat, this is not the right role. If you enjoy the satisfaction of booking a proper appointment at the end of a hard call session, we’ll get on well.
You’ll do well here if you have:
Real outbound calling or appointment-setting experience, ideally UK B2B
A clear, natural speaking voice that UK business owners find easy to follow
Thick skin and steady energy across a full call session
A reliable fibre connection and a quiet place to call from
CRM familiarity, or the ability to follow a simple process accurately
Good written notes and attention to detail
A professional attitude around opt-outs, call notes and follow-up
Hours and pay
20 to 25 hours per week.
UK business hours. South Africa is usually UTC+2, so this should fit comfortably into a normal South African working day.
£8 to £9 per hour depending on experience, plus £12 to £15 for every held qualified appointment. Uncapped.
A held qualified appointment means the prospect attends the discovery call and is a relevant UK trades or local service business with a genuine potential need around their website, Google presence, local SEO, reputation, advertising or lead generation.
The prospect must understand why the call has been booked and must be the owner, director, decision-maker, or someone with real influence over marketing decisions.
Appointments do not qualify for bonus payment if the prospect no-shows, is not relevant, has no decision-making authority, was unclear on the reason for the call, was booked using misleading wording, or is only looking for free advice.
There may also be an additional bonus for appointments that become paying clients.
