Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-obsessed, and creative E-commerce Product Content Writer to join our Content Services and Data Optimization Department. This full-time, remote role is crucial for the ongoing refinement and expansion of our extensive product catalog. You will be at the heart of ensuring our content is accurate, complete, and up-to-date, extending not only to pricing and sales information but also to our product page content and descriptions.

The ideal candidate will excel at transforming complex product information into unique, informative, and engaging content that drives customer action. You’ll use storytelling, strategic keyword placement, and an understanding of customer behavior to create product descriptions and titles that attract attention, boost visitors, and ultimately drive sales. You’ll play a vital role in helping customers make confident purchasing decisions by delivering precise, easy-to-understand, and high-impact content.

 

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Optimization:

Write and edit clear, concise, and accurate product descriptions, titles, and headlines (both short and long-form).
Create high-impact, rich product copy that effectively communicates value and drives customer action.
Utilize proven design principles to enhance the layout, readability, and user engagement of product pages.
Optimize product images, headlines, metadata, and calls-to-action for maximum visibility and conversion.
Data Accuracy & Management:

Input essential product data including SEO tags, specifications, dimensions, and related metadata into our content management platforms.
Quickly publish accurate product data to your team from multiple resources.
Conduct thorough content QA on listings, including those delivered by external partners, ensuring all align with our internal editorial style guide.
Analyze and verify product information meticulously against vendor documentation and official sources.
Ensure all content is customer-friendly and avoids confusing or misleading language.
Strategy & Collaboration:

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams (including colleagues within the Product Database) to clarify or confirm data when needed.
Analyze page performance and iterate based on data to continuously improve results.
Work within our Content Services and Data Optimization Department to support other areas within the business unit.
Requirements
Native-level or exceptional English writing and editing skills (American grammar/spelling required).
Proven experience in E-commerce content creation, specifically for product pages.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities; this role requires more than just creative writing.
High attention to detail and the ability to detect unclear, inconsistent, or misleading product information.
Strong understanding of sales funnels, customer behavior, and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).
Self-motivated and independent – able to work with minimal direction and deliver high-quality work quickly.
Comfortable handling repetitive tasks with precision, without a drop in quality or focus.
Able to proactively identify issues and resolve them without waiting for instruction.
Eye for detail and a strong sense of content aesthetics.

Work Schedule
Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm Eastern Standard Time (no weekends).
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Equipment Specification Requirements (Candidate’s Responsibility)
To ensure optimal performance in this remote role, candidates must have and maintain the following equipment:

CPU: At least an Intel Core i5 Microprocessor or a generic equivalent.
RAM: 8 GB or 16 GB.
Main Boot Drive: Must be a Solid State Drive (SSD).
Operating System: Windows 10 or newer (PC) OR macOS Catalina (10.15) or newer (macOS).
Internet: Stable ping at 50 milliseconds or less, with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.
Headset: Must use a headset with a noise-canceling microphone. High-quality gaming over-the-ear headsets are preferred. Wired or wireless earphones such as wired Apple Earpods, Wireless Apple Airpods, or other brands of Bluetooth earbuds are not allowed.
Webcam: A decent webcam (1080p or higher resolution).
Monitors: Two monitors.
