About the Company:
Sagan represents a U.S.-based outdoor living and residential construction company specializing in custom hardscape installations, pools, decking, pergolas, planters, stairs, and outdoor space transformations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Hardscape Design Drafter to transform site measurements, Polycam scans, video walkthroughs, and project instructions into accurate, client-ready 2D plans. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can quickly produce clear conceptual layouts and construction-ready drawings for residential outdoor living projects.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively in English, and can take direction while working independently to deliver plans on tight timelines. While 3D experience is a plus, the immediate priority is creating high-quality 2D plans that can be presented to clients within 48–72 hours of receiving project information.
Key Responsibilities:
Create 2D hardscape and outdoor living plans based on project requirements.
Convert Polycam scans, site measurements, photos, video walkthroughs, and Loom recordings into accurate design layouts.
Produce client-ready conceptual plans and presentation materials.
Draft plans for pools, decking, pergolas, planters, stairs, patios, walkways, retaining features, and other hardscape elements.
Review project information and identify any missing details or clarification needs.
Communicate efficiently with stakeholders regarding revisions and project requirements.
Maintain accuracy and consistency across project deliverables.
Meet tight turnaround times and support rapid client proposal development.
Assist with revisions and plan updates following client feedback.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in hardscape drafting, outdoor living design drafting, pool drafting, landscape drafting, or related fields.
Strong experience producing professional 2D plans and layouts.
Experience using CAD or drafting software to create client-facing plans.
Ability to interpret measurements, site scans, photos, and video walkthroughs.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
Ability to follow direction while proactively asking questions when clarification is needed.
Portfolio demonstrating relevant hardscape, pool, outdoor living, or residential design projects..
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience drafting pools and outdoor living environments.
Experience with Polycam, Matterport, or similar site-capture technologies.
AutoCAD proficiency.
SketchUp experience.
Experience producing 3D renderings or visualizations.
Residential construction or landscape construction knowledge.
