About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Financial Manager to take ownership of our internal billing systems and help streamline how we manage client billing, collections, and reporting. You’ll work cross-functionally with leadership, finance, and account managers to keep things running smoothly, accurately, and on time.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, process-driven, and passionate about building scalable, systemized solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all internal billing systems and processes
Direct the workflow of the billing assistant, ensuring timely and accurate execution of follow-ups and client billing
Maintain and improve billing trackers and tools
Create and document SOPs to streamline billing and operations processes
Monitor collections, billing status, and ensure alignment with client agreements
Support other departments (sales, product development, leadership) with operational needs and special projects
Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve systems, efficiency, and scalability across the company
Required Skills
Strong experience with Google Sheets or Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
Operationally minded with a systems-first approach
Strong project management and organizational skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage recurring deadlines
Previous experience in billing, invoicing, finance ops, or operations management
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Pay & Work Schedule
Salary: R35,000 – R60,000/month (South Africa)
Hours: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. South Africa time
