Job Description
This is a remote position.

An entrepreneurial payroll services business is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and HR Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll for various clients across industries. You must have solid experience using Sage Payroll and / or Payspace, and be confident managing a wide range of payroll-related tasks, including input processing, leave and overtime administration, travel reimbursements, and employee onboarding and offboarding administration.

This position is a remote, Independent Contracting role, approximately 12 – 24 hours per month.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately process monthly payrolls for multiple clients using Sage Payroll or Payspace, in line with client-specific requirements and service level agreements.

Capture and validate all payroll inputs, including new joiners, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.

Process travel reimbursements and employee expense claims, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client policies.

Support client onboarding processes by preparing employment documentation and registering new employees on payroll systems.

Facilitate client offboarding procedures, including exit documentation, final pays, and de-registration from payroll systems.

Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records for all client employees, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.

Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries from clients and their employees.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery and clear communication.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator within a payroll services or outsourced payroll environment.

Proficient in using Sage Payroll and Payspace across multiple payrolls.

Exceptional attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple client payrolls simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

Experience in a payroll bureau or payroll services business is required.

Advanced knowledge of payroll software systems, particularly Sage Payroll or Payspace, is essential.
