Job Description
This is a remote position.
A marketing business is seeking a motivated and personable Sales Assistant / Lead Generator, for 2-3 mornings a week, to help expand the client base by identifying, researching, and connecting with businesses that fit the ideal client profile.
You will be responsible for building and managing a pipeline of warm leads—reaching out via email, LinkedIn, or phone to introduce the marketing services, assess requirements, and arrange qualified follow-up conversations.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys outreach, relationship-building, and the satisfaction of helping businesses access the marketing support they need to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify businesses aligned with the ideal client profile (medium-sized, owner-managed companies in sectors such as hospitality, tourism, professional services, design, and lifestyle brands).
- Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone to introduce the marketing services and assess interest.
- Qualify potential leads and hand them over for strategy calls or proposal development.
- Maintain an organised lead tracker and record all outreach activity accurately and consistently.
- Contribute to refining outreach messaging and feedback processes (what resonates, what does not).
- Represent the brand with professionalism, warmth, and a sound understanding of how marketing supports business growth.
Requirements
- At least 4 years relevant working experience and understanding of the marketing industry – must be comfortable talking about concepts like branding, strategy and digital presence.
- Able to recognise when a business could benefit from professional marketing support.
- Confident, friendly communicator with a natural ability to connect with people.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail and follow-through.
- Have your own laptop, reliable internet connection and phone.
