We are a fashion & lifestyle brand based in USA and Mexico. We’re seeking a sharp, organized, and very detail-oriented new team member to take responsibility over inventory tracking, planning, and movements. You will replace the company owner in this role, who is launching new activities in sales, marketing, and product development, and you will add significant value with your dedicated focus and your initiative to improve and systematize all procedures under your responsibility. Strong communication skills are also very important in this role.

The Inventory Manager will ensure inventory data accuracy in all relevant internal & external systems, and use this data to support decision making as related to purchase orders, inventory transfers, and dynamic pricing, as well as manage inventory packing & shipping plans, which are to be handled by suppliers, 3rd party warehouses, and Amazon. You will do all of this with the direct support of the company owner, who you will report to directly.

We track and manage inventory in various ways in Ecomdash, ShipStation, Google Sheets, and Excel. We manufacture in Mexico and store inventory in a 3rd party warehouse in USA, and this warehouse has its own software. We also use Amazon FBA. You do not need to be familiar with Ecomdash and ShipStation when you start, but you should be very comfortable with spreadsheets including the frequent use of VLOOKUP, SUMIF, filters, pivot tables, etc.

The core responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Manage inventory data to ensure accuracy and proper synchronization, including close tracking of all transactions, shipments, and adjustments that cannot be properly automated by the various software tools.
  • Use this data as the basis for purchase order planning, FBA shipment planning, and FBA removal planning, and optimize for low storage costs and high Amazon IPI Score while avoiding stock-outs as much as possible.
  • Manage the FBA shipment process in Amazon Seller Central, while communicating closely with suppliers and warehouse teams, and see these shipments through end-to-end, including reconciliations.
  • Create and communicate any necessary packing instructions by case and by pallet to suppliers, when FBA shipments and wholesale orders are to be packed by suppliers and imported on the same truck as our regular inventory.
  • Use inventory and sales velocity data to make recommendations about short-term and long-term pricing adjustments, including clearance offers etc. as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly on calls and in writing with the owner, the warehouse team, our suppliers, and Amazon.
  • Remain flexible and open to additional or evolving tasks and responsibilities according to your skills, expertise, and workload.
