As the Project Coordinator working within the Research and Development department you are responsible for assisting in coordinating a diverse set of globally located teams with project coordination and administrator across an ongoing multi-year transformation program. This is a hands-on role that will require the ability to think on your feet; be flexible; communicate up and down the organization, provide strong collaboration with a variety of stakeholders (both internal and external) and have strong attention to detail.
Your contribution will be:
Project Administration: The Project Coordinator will work with the VP Product and Senior R&D leaders to help plan, track and report on the progress of the transformation program across multiple teams, including tracking schedules, milestones, deliverables and working to accommodate replanning and priority changes. The Product Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring project risks and issues as they are identified and working with assignees to ensure they are managed or escalated appropriately.
Financial Tracking: Working closely with the finance and accounting teams, the Project Coordinator will track the project costs against the budget, reconciling invoices and future spending against the planned budget on a monthly basis, replanning where necessary.
Status Reporting: The Project Coordinator will work with the Senior R&D and Product Leaders to generate a monthly project status report pack covering a number of predefined key performance indicators for the program, associated narratives and trend information for distribution to senior executives and stakeholders.
Coordination & Collaboration: Working with the various stakeholders, the Project Coordinator will foster close collaboration across local and remote project teams, assisting in scheduling meetings taking minutes where appropriate and providing general coordination assistance to teams as necessary.
To be successful, we think you need:
- 2-3+ years of previous project administration experience, ideally in a software development environment
- Experience in high-level scheduling, finance tracking and status reporting at a program and project level
- Previous experience in an Agile software development environment (desirable)
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A team focus, a willingness to be hands-on and pitch in (can-do attitude)
- Flexible and adaptable in a changing and evolving environment
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, e.g. Business, IT
