As the Programs Lead, you will be at the helm, navigating the strategic course and bringing to life our institutional initiatives. Your expertise will ensure that each event and program reflects and amplifies YES’s core ideas and values. Leading ethnically diverse teams, spanning from program management to quality control and health and safety to vendor management, you’ll weave unity and purpose. Your visionary leadership will set directions, cascade our mission, pace our journey, and help us achieve milestones that resonate with YES’s grand objectives. Key Expectations:


Design and deliver a meticulously planned event program that offers attendees value, insight, and engagement.

1. Develop Programmes and Agenda:

  • Design comprehensive event agendas offering diverse thought-provoking sessions, workshops, and cultural experiences.
  • Ensure seamless flow and transitions between different segments of the event.
  • Collaborate with various teams to integrate logistical requirements into the agenda.
  • Align agenda elements with the overarching event objectives.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure program alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Manage preparing and distributing preparatory packs for speakers, panellists, and delegates.

3. Develop Programme Topics:

  • Identify relevant and cutting-edge topics for keynote sessions, workshops, and discussions.
  • Research to ensure that chosen topics resonate with the interests and aspirations of young leaders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and quality of content.

4. Program Design & Execution:

  • Lead the Programs Team in effectively planning, coordinating, and implementing programs and agendas.
  • Ensure program milestones are met and align with YES objectives.

5. Health and Safety Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety Team to ensure all events and initiatives comply with health and safety standards.

6. Vendor Relations & Management:

  • Work closely with the Vendor Management Team to ensure seamless collaboration with external partners and service providers.
  • Ensure optimal vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management.

7. Team Leadership:

  • Will lead the Programmes and Engagement team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Provide clear direction, support, and guidance to team members to ensure the successful execution of their responsibilities.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and ensure the team members meet deadlines.
    Will foster professional growth and development within the team.

8. Continuous Improvement:

  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of event programs and engagement strategies.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and participants to identify areas for improvement.
  • Innovate and implement enhancements to optimize the delegate experience and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any related field
  • Proven experience in event planning, program development, or engagement roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to design engaging and impactful event agendas.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in using event management tools, collaboration platforms, and productivity software.
