Social Media Manager (Client-Facing) — Kraken

Kraken is a UK-based social media management agency, and part of Guru Group alongside our sister company DesignGuru. We’re hiring a Social Media Manager to own a portfolio of client accounts – keeping clients informed, keeping content moving, and making the whole experience feel effortless. You’ll work hand in hand with our in-house design bench to make sure every post lands the way it should.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’re the person clients hear from and designers rely on. Relationships are the heart of this role.
Own your clients. You’re their dedicated point of contact – warm, responsive, always on top of it. Nobody should ever feel like they’re chasing you.
Run the monthly cycle. From onboarding questionnaire through to scheduled posts, you know exactly where every client’s content sits at any moment.
Brief the designers. Turn client briefs and feedback into clear direction: what they want, when they need it, and why it matters.
Drive approvals and revisions. Keep the review process moving in Planable so clients approve what they love and request changes without friction.
Get content live. Approved posts scheduled and published on time, on the right channels, every single month.
Protect retention. Spot the client who’s gone quiet before they start thinking about cancelling. Check in, gather feedback, keep them happy for the long haul.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
2+ years in account management, client success or social media management
Social media fluency – you understand what works on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and beyond, creatively as well as technically
A client-first instinct – you take it personally when someone has a bad experience, and your communication is clear, warm and consistent
Organised under pressure – multiple clients and content calendars running at once, and nothing slips
An eye for content – you don’t need to be a designer, but you know good social content when you see it, and you can articulate why something isn’t quite right
AI fluency — AI tools are already a natural part of how you work
Available and focused 9–5 GMT/BST
Agency experience, or time in a subscription/productised service
Hands-on with a scheduling tool (we use Planable) and a project management platform
You’ve juggled 15+ accounts at once and lived to tell the tale
