University Accounting Tutors (Part-Time)

Genius UP is recruiting high-performing University Accounting Tutors to deliver live 1-on-1 and group tutoring sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students across South Africa.

This role is ideal for senior Accounting students, graduates, and postgraduates who have strong conceptual understanding and enjoy explaining Accounting clearly and simply.

Final-year undergraduate Accounting students
Honours / CTA / PGDA students
Accounting graduates and postgraduates

Strong preference for candidates who studied at:

University of Cape Town (UCT)
University of the Witwatersrand (Wits)
Stellenbosch University
University of Pretoria (UP)
University of Johannesburg (UJ)
(Applicants from other universities are still welcome to apply.)

Minimum Requirements

• Strong academic performance in the subject(s) you wish to tutor
• 70%+ at the undergraduate level, or
• 60%+ at postgraduate level
• Ability to deliver live online sessions (1-on-1 and small groups)
• Clear communication and teaching ability
• Reliable internet connection and availability during exam periods
• A device with a stylus/pen for writing notes during lessons? (i.e. iPad and Apple Pencil)
• Professional, reliable, and student-focused

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering live 1-on-1 and group tutoring sessions
• Assisting students with concept clarity, exam technique, and problem-solving
• Supporting students through tests, assignments, and exam preparation
