About the job
We are hiring a Remote Receptionist for a private dental practice in the aesthetic and general dentistry industry. This is a part-time remote role for a U.S.-based company. This role is ideal for someone who is professional, personable, fluent in English, and experienced in handling inbound calls, scheduling, and front desk tasks for healthcare or dental practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming patient calls with professionalism, warmth, and clarity
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using practice management software
Verify patient information and update records as needed
Provide patients with accurate information about services and procedures
Send reminders and confirmations via email, SMS, or phone
Communicate with the in-office team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Document all calls and interactions clearly and accurately
Follow up with patients for missed appointments or follow-up care
Maintain a calm, courteous manner even during busy or challenging interactions

Required Qualifications:
1–2 years of experience as a virtual receptionist or front desk assistant, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting
Fluent in written and spoken English
College education
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Previous experience managing appointments and patient records in healthcare software
Able to work with the U.S.-based team and communicate across time zones

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a U.S.-based dental or medical office
Familiarity with dental terminology and patient flow
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and handling of patient information
Background in customer service or call center roles

Required Skills & Tools:
Dental or medical practice software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, or similar)
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
Slack, Zoom, and phone systems (e.g., RingCentral, Grasshopper)
Strong internet connection and quiet work environment
Excellent written documentation and call-logging ability

Schedule & Pay:
Part-time position; approximately 20 hours per week
Working in the U.S. time zone
This is a fully remote job for a U.S.-based company
Pay ranges from R7,000–R8,000 ZAR per month
Annual raises, bonuses, paid holidays, and PTO

Computer with a 2.4 GHz processor or higher
8 GB of RAM or higher
Windows 10 or newer, or Mac OS X 10.10 or newer
HD 720p webcam
Headset with a microphone
