Website Character Stays
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant based in South Africa to support our growing short-term rental/property business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured admin work, customer communication, and supporting smooth guest experiences.
The position starts at 2-3 hours per day, 5 days per week, with the opportunity to increase hours as the business grows.
Full training will be provided on our systems, processes, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
System data entry and record maintenance
Customer service – responding to guest queries promptly and professionally both via email and phone.
Social media outreach and basic engagement tasks
Responding to guest reviews using brand guidelines
Guest problem first response / triage (logging issues and escalating where needed)
Invoice reconciliation and basic financial admin
General administrative tasks as required
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a Virtual Assistant or in a similar admin/support role
Excellent written English and professional communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes
Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
Reliable internet connection and availability during agreed working times
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in Airbnb, short-term rentals, or the property sector
Familiarity with booking platforms, messaging systems, or CRM tools
Social media or customer service experience
