About the job
Sourcing Project Manager Specialist
📍 Remote | Global Team | Project Manager – Specialist Level | Sourcing Department
At Source86, we’re building the backbone of the global food supply chain, helping our partners source, move, and deliver the world’s best ingredients with clarity, speed, and service that actually feels human. We sweat the small stuff, act like true partners, and solve the “86 moments” in our customers’ supply chains with transparency and precision.
As we scale our private label and cross-functional initiatives, we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager (Specialist) to join our Project Management team and own the execution of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives end-to-end.
This role reports to the Project Manager – Manager level and is the primary driver of day-to-day project delivery. You’ll bring structure, discipline, and operational rigor to cross-functional projects, particularly private label and complex deals, that functional teams cannot self-manage alongside their core responsibilities. You’re not here to oversee strategy from above; you’re here to make things happen on the ground.
In a company where private label initiatives span continents and involve suppliers, quality teams, logistics partners, and commercial stakeholders working across time zones, the absence of dedicated project management creates delays, misalignment, and missed market opportunities. You are the function that makes complex things executable. When you do your job well, launches happen on schedule, teams stay focused, and Source86’s ability to deliver on its promises to clients becomes a competitive advantage.
🌶️ Your Impact in This Role – Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery
Own the day-to-day execution of assigned cross-functional projects, including private label product development, supplier onboarding, and supply chain initiatives, from kickoff through close.
Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestone trackers, keeping all workstreams on schedule and flagging risks before they become blockers.
Maintain a single source of truth for project status, decisions, dependencies, and action items, accessible to all distributed team members.
Proactively identify and resolve risks or blockers, working with teams to drive timely solutions beyond escalation.
Provide clear, structured reporting on project progress, including timelines, risks, and key updates for stakeholders.
Design and continuously improve project processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate the end-to-end contract execution process across internal teams and external partners to ensure timely sign-offs.
Serve as the operational link between functional teams, sourcing, quality, regulatory, logistics, and Sales, ensuring alignment and accountability, in a remote and global environment, without overstepping functional ownership.
Plan and facilitate working sessions, status calls, and async updates across time zones (Americas, APAC, EMEA) to keep momentum going.
Identify interdependencies across workstreams and coordinate handoffs to prevent delays.
Stakeholder Communication
Provide consistent, clear project updates to the Manager-level PM and relevant stakeholders, escalating issues promptly with proposed solutions.
Manage day-to-day communication with internal teams and external partners (vendors, co-manufacturers) on timelines, deliverables, and scope.
Process Contribution
Follow and contribute to existing project management playbooks and frameworks established by the PM team.
Identify process gaps within assigned projects and bring improvement suggestions to the Manager-level PM.
Support the adoption of PM tools and documentation standards across project teams.
