Job Description: SEO Strategist

Location: Remote (Global) Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

The SEO Strategist is responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies across client

accounts. You will work closely with account managers, content editors, analysts, and internal

leadership to turn data, audits, and business priorities into clear SEO roadmaps and

recommendations.

This is a hands-on strategy role. You will support technical SEO, content strategy, keyword

research, topical authority planning, reporting, and AI search visibility work. You will not be

expected to manage a team or define T aco’s SEO practice centrally, but you should be able to take

ownership of assigned accounts, make sound recommendations, and clearly document your work.

The right person is detail-oriented, analytical, comfortable working across multiple clients, and

genuinely interested in how AI is changing search.

Core Responsibilities

 

SEO Strategy & Execution

• Develop SEO strategies and roadmaps for assigned client accounts.

• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, content gap analysis, and technical SEO

reviews.

• Support strategy across technical SEO, content optimization, topical authority, internal

linking, and link-building priorities.

• Turn SEO findings into clear, actionable recommendations for account managers and

clients.

• Identify opportunities to improve rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and AI search

visibility.

• Monitor performance and adjust recommendations based on results, search trends, and

client priorities.

AI Search & AEO

•Support AEO and AI visibility work across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google

AI Overviews.
• Research how clients are appearing across AI search surfaces and identify gaps.

• Help create recommendations that improve entity clarity, topical authority, citations, and

answer engine visibility.

• Stay current on changes in Google search, AI Overviews, LLM citations, and

retrieval-based search.

Content & Technical SEO Support

• Create SEO briefs, content recommendations, and optimization guidance for editors and

writers.

• Review content for SEO alignment, keyword targeting, structure, internal linking, and

search intent.

• Identify technical SEO issues and work with the team to prioritize fixes based on impact.

• Support audits of site architecture, schema, metadata, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and

internal linking.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare clear SEO analysis, insights, and recommendations for internal and client-facing

use.

• Help maintain account roadmaps, performance trackers, and SEO documentation.

• Use data from Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and AI

visibility tools to support decision-making.

• Document assumptions, findings, and next steps clearly so account managers and clients

can act on them.

Process & Workflow Improvement

• Use AI tools to improve research, briefing, analysis, and reporting workflows.

• Follow T aco’s SEO frameworks and contribute ideas to improve internal processes.

• Identify repetitive tasks that could be simplified, standardized, or automated.

• Work with senior team members to improve the consistency and quality of SEO outputs.

Qualifications

 

Required

• 3+ years of SEO experience, either agency-side or in-house.

• Strong understanding of technical SEO, content SEO, keyword research, and search intent.

• Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush,

Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.

• Ability to analyze SEO performance and translate findings into practical recommendations.

• Strong written communication and documentation skills.

• Comfortable managing multiple projects or client accounts simultaneously.

• Genuine interest in AI search, AEO, LLM visibility, and how search behavior is changing.

• Native-level or excellent English communication skills.Preferred

• Agency experience working across multiple client accounts with high retention rates.

• Experience supporting B2B SaaS, healthcare, e-commerce, marketplace, or high-growth

startup clients.

• Familiarity with AI workflow tools such as n8n, AirOps, or prompt-based research

workflows.

• Experience with content briefs, topical maps, schema recommendations, and link-building

strategy.

• Comfort operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.

• Experience with programmatic SEO or large-scale content operations.

• Account managers and senior team members trust your analysis and follow-through.

 

By 12 months

• You are independently managing SEO strategy for multiple accounts with minimal

oversight.

• Clients are seeing measurable improvements in organic visibility, rankings, traffic quality,

and AI search presence.

• You are contributing to internal workflows, documentation, and delivery consistency.

• You are growing toward a Senior SEO Strategist role through stronger judgment and

deeper account ownership.
