We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Retail Opportunity Research & CRM Coordinator to support our U.S. Sales Team in identifying new retail opportunities, maintaining prospect databases, and helping drive business development efforts.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for researching prospective retail accounts, identifying key decision-makers, managing CRM data, supporting outbound prospecting initiatives, and coordinating opportunities for Flybar’s sales organization.
This is not a traditional sales position. Rather, it is a research, business intelligence, and sales support role designed to help our sales leaders focus on building relationships and closing opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Prospecting & Research
Identify potential retail accounts throughout North America and international markets.
Research retailers, distributors, buying groups, and e-commerce opportunities.
Build and maintain prospect databases.
Identify category buyers, merchandise managers, and purchasing contacts.
Research retailer organizational structures and buying teams.
CRM Management
Maintain and update CRM records.
Track retailer opportunities and sales pipeline activity.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of account information.
Generate reports and dashboards for sales leadership.
Business Development Support
Assist with outbound email campaigns.
Schedule meetings and introductory calls.
Support retailer outreach initiatives.
Track responses and follow-up activities.
Prepare prospecting and opportunity summaries.
Competitive Intelligence
Monitor competitor products and retail placements.
Research pricing, assortment, and merchandising strategies.
Identify market trends and new retail opportunities.
Prepare periodic competitive intelligence reports.
Administrative Support
Assist with presentation preparation.
Maintain opportunity tracking spreadsheets and reports.
Support sales team special projects.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong internet research abilities.
Experience using LinkedIn, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting sales, business development, or marketing teams.
Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Odoo, Zoho, or similar systems.
Retail, consumer products, toy industry, or CPG experience is a plus.
Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.
Success Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by:
Number of qualified retailer opportunities identified.
Accuracy and completeness of CRM records.
Number of buyer contacts researched and verified.
Meetings scheduled for the sales team.
Timeliness and quality of reporting.
Contribution to new account development efforts.

Work Schedule
This position is based in South Africa and will work closely with Flybar’s U.S.-based sales organization. Candidates should ideally be able to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours, or be able to maintain several hours of overlap.
