Upload all business receipts to Xero and Apron for VAT reclamation purposes
Ensure all financial documentation is organised, accessible and up to date

Manage invoices and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Budgeting and Reporting
Assist in building and monitoring monthly budgets
Pull financial data to support forecasting and planning as we scale
Flag any anomalies or concerns to the team early
Team Support
Work closely with the operations team to keep financial processes seamless
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis when needed
What We Need
Proven experience in a bookkeeping or finance assistant role
Proficiency in Xero – you must be able to hit the ground running
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and a track record of meeting deadlines without being chased
Confident, clear communicator – written and verbal
Able to work independently and manage your own workload across a full UK working day
Preferred but not essential:
Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Experience working with short-term rental platforms such as Airbnb
Background in property management or hospitality finance
What We Offer:
$1,400 to $1,700 per month (equivalent to approximately R23,000 to R28,000 at current rates), paid via Deel
Contractor arrangement giving you flexibility and payment security
The chance to grow with a genuinely ambitious company – if you are excellent, there is a path upwards
A supportive, no-nonsense team that respects your time and expertise
Fully remote role working UK hours
Technical Requirements:
You will need a reliable home office setup for UK hours. Specifically:
Minimum internet speed of 30 Mbps with a backup connection available
Intel i5 8th Gen processor or equivalent, 8 GB RAM minimum
Windows 10 or MacOS Catalina or higher
A private, quiet dedicated workspace – video calls are part of the role
A backup plan for power or internet outages
Working hours
Core hours are 9am to 5pm UK time, Monday to Friday. We expect you to be available and responsive within those hours. This is not a part-time or flexible-hours arrangement.
