Join a dynamic and fast-paced UK-based recruitment team as a Recruitment Support Assistant, working closely with a senior recruiter to streamline operations and increase productivity. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong organisational skills, a background in VA/PA work, and a solid understanding of the UK education market.
About the Role
You’ll be the right-hand support in a 360-degree recruitment desk – handling everything from posting ads and chasing applications to managing inboxes and running candidate outreach campaigns. Responsibilities
Post job advertisements using varied formats and creative styles
Use a candidate database to identify and engage suitable talent
Manage and triage a shared application inbox, proactively following up with candidates
Conduct regular check-in and follow-up calls with candidates
Schedule and join Zoom calls with the recruiter and candidates
Support in building and executing marketing campaigns across different channels
Communicate with a second recruitment arm focusing on teacher roles
Write engaging replies and tag relevant team members as needed on internal platforms
Ensure efficient communication and collaboration within a 9-person team
Anticipate and resolve issues with a common-sense, solution-first approach
Demonstrate initiative and confidence – not just a “yes person”
Bring a hardworking, “say-it-once” mindset to every task
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a VA, PA, or administrative support role.
Strong command of written and spoken English.
Familiarity with the UK education or recruitment sector is highly advantageous.
Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Solid understanding of candidate engagement, inbox management, and digital tools.
Experience with Zoom, databases, and campaign tools is a plus.
High attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong interpersonal skills.
Own laptop/computer and access to reliable, high-speed internet.
Required Skills
Strong organisational skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the UK education or recruitment sector, familiarity with digital tools and campaign management.
