Insurance Billing Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Insurance Billing Lead to take ownership of our end-to-end revenue cycle. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient billing processes, minimizing denials, accelerating collections, and providing clear financial insights to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee the full revenue cycle: claim submission, payment posting, AR follow-up, and collections
-Identify and reduce claim denials; implement systems to prevent recurring issues
-Monitor key KPIs (Days in AR, Net Collection Rate, Denial Rate, etc.) and report regularly
-Work directly with leadership to improve cash flow and revenue capture
-Audit coding and billing accuracy
-Optimize workflows and create SOPs for scalability across multiple locations
-Coordinate with front desk and clinical teams to ensure clean claim submission
-Manage insurance verification and reimbursement optimization
-Identify missed revenue opportunities and implement corrective actions

Qualifications:
-3+ years experience in healthcare revenue cycle management – REQUIRED
-Strong understanding of insurance billing (both Medical and Vision ideally), coding, and payer rules
-Proven track record of improving collections and reducing AR/denials
-Experience with EHR/PM systems (experience with RevolutionEHR is a plus)
-Highly analytical and comfortable working with data and KPIs
-Strong communication skills and ability to work with leadership
-Self-starter who can take ownership and drive results without constant oversight
