The Senior Fullstack Engineer is a key member of the engineering team, responsible for building and maintaining high-quality, scalable software across both front-end and back-end systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently on complex problems, and the collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
Senior Fullstack Engineers are expected to be hands-on contributors while also providing technical guidance, mentoring junior engineers (where applicable), and helping drive best practices in software engineering.
Core Responsibilities
Software Design & Development
Design, implement, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure applications across the stack.
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Contribute to architecture and design discussions, providing strong technical input.
Ensure strong integration between front-end user interfaces and back-end services.
Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Technical Excellence
Drive adoption of engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proactively identify and reduce technical debt.
Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements that benefit the team and product.
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data privacy standards.
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Break down complex tasks into clear, achievable work items.
Participate actively in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Support operational excellence through monitoring, debugging, and on-call contributions where required.
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
Provide guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers.
Share knowledge through pairing, documentation, and technical presentations.
Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Scope of Influence
Direct Reports: None.
Collaborates with: Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, QA/Testing, Solutions Architects, and stakeholders.
Reports to: Technical Lead or Engineering Manager.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in both back-end and front-end technologies (specific stack defined by the team, e.g., TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS, etc.).
Proven ability to design and deliver complex systems at scale.
Deep understanding of software engineering principles, testing strategies, and CI/CD.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on challenging technical problems.
Effective communication and collaboration skills within a cross-functional team.
Experience mentoring other engineers.
