Job Description
This is a remote position.

An established photography business is seeking a remote Business Development Manager who will be responsible for expanding client base on a national level. This position is remote, approximately 4 hours per day – 6 months fixed term contract (with prospect of renewal or permanency)

This role is critical to broader expansion and revenue strategy for the business. The ideal candidate will be expected to actively seek out and secure opportunities across multiple client segments:

  • Corporate / Commercial Clients – including professional services firms, events, product launches, executive headshots
  • Residential / Lifestyle Clients – such as families, individuals, creatives, influencers, and personal shoots
  • Partnerships with Other Creative and Marketing Agencies – offering visual content support, campaign execution, or white-labelled services
  • Galleries, Studios, and Exhibitions – collaborating with curators, independent artists, and public creative spaces
  • Tenders & Institutional Clients – including proposals for municipalities, development agencies, education & non-profit sector projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate qualified leads and manage the full sales pipeline
  • Present the photography’s service catalogue and convert enquiries into bookings
  • Liaise with clients to ensure briefs are complete and aligned with service standards
  • Track leads, commissions, and performance via internal dashboards and tools

A separate performance-based commission model will be introduced directly with the candidate, based on

  • Closed deals and booking conversions
  • Recurring contracts or retainer sign-on
  • Upselling licensing and value-added services

Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ in client-facing sales, brand partnerships, or agency business development
  • Personality: Charismatic, proactive, and creatively inclined — able to sell premium services with confidence
  • Bonus: Familiarity with the creative industries, digital content, photography, or events
