We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Manager / Bookkeeper to help us stay on top of our numbers, streamline our financial processes, and support our finance operations across multiple properties and projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is confident with bookkeeping systems, and has a sharp eye for financial accuracy.

About the Role

Your main duties will include:

– Record and reconcile all day-to-day transactions and bank feeds in Landlord Vision 2 (LLV2), ensuring accuracy by account, cost centre, and property tracker
– Maintain well-organised and up-to-date financial records across all property portfolios
– Perform accurate weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts and investigate any discrepancies
– Monitor bank balances to ensure sufficient funds for recurring and project-based expenses
– Upload, categorise, and record all utility bills, council tax, internet, insurance payments, and maintenance-related costs
– Enter and track rental income, staff expense reimbursements, and purchase requisitions against actual disbursements
– Reconcile general ledger accounts with external records (e.g., HMRC integrated client account) and liaise with external bookkeepers or accountants as needed
– Create and maintain Profit & Loss reports for each property and provide summaries or variance analysis where required
– Track and reconcile intercompany loans, investor loans, and director loan balances; prepare billing entries or adjustments as needed
– Monitor and follow up on outstanding cash advances and liquidations, ensuring adherence to internal policy
– Prepare internal financial reports and summaries to support monthly reviews and decision-making
– Support VAT claims, SDLT reclaims, and other relevant tax filing requirements
– Assist the legal and acquisition teams with mortgage, refinancing, or remortgage documentation
– Proactively suggest improvements to existing financial tracking, reporting, or reconciliation workflows
– Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, and external partners to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Financial Analyst
– Property industry or real estate bookkeeping experience
– Advanced spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets + Excel), including interpreting formulas
– Deep understanding of P&L, reconciliations, and cost centres
– Familiarity with UK property finance context (loan tracking, SDLT, VAT, etc.)
– Experience using LandlordVision

Requirements:

– BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
– A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
– Experience working with remote UK clients or property developers
– Comfortable coordinating with external accountants and legal teams

Skills:

– Reliable, proactive, and resourceful
– Able to work UK hours (starting at 10–15 hrs/week, with potential to grow)
– Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial info clearly
– Extensive experience in Property Development Bookkeeping
– Excellent written and spoken English and required to have an excellent telephone etiquette
– Have a growth mindset and are always happy to learn new skills
