Data Analyst and Compliance Officer

Company: National Training Provider

Location: Home-based with National Travel

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Salary: £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Duties: As a Data Analyst and Compliance Officer, you will be a key player in performing the following responsibilities:

  • Generate a range of reports for Data into Workstream meetings.
  • Analyse data for achievement rates, breakdowns for funding eligibility and report on Levy spend and utilization.
  • Act as the technical expert within the Levy Team, designing, configuring, and maintaining reporting tools.
  • Continually improve the quality and relevance of reports produced for the department and the wider business.
  • Monitor Levy and Grant activities to identify system or processing errors and deploy corrective actions.
  • Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tools for Levy and Grant KPIs.
  • Lead the creation and update of the annual grant forecast, adding root causes for under/overspending.
  • Present findings to the Focus Group on a monthly basis.
  • Evaluate risks and issues regarding Grant spend and Levy income activities through tracking and trend analysis.
  • Use analytical skills to capture, extract, and interpret data for forecasting and decision-making.
  • Provide data expertise and support for other areas around the business.
  • Requirements of the Data Analyst and Funding Officer:

To excel in this role, you must bring:

  • Knowledge of education funding rules and awarding body requirements, ideally within apprenticeships.Excellent Excel skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Experience In Data Analysis And Collating Management Information Requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel to an advanced level.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
