You’ll be the second user researcher in the company and play a key role within the Product and Design team.
Initially you’ll carry out tactical research to support product releases while managing all customer data coming into the business to drive awareness of what our customers are thinking, feeling and doing. Over time this will progress to more strategic work, providing key insights for the business to expand its products and services.

What you’ll do:
Work with experienced Engineers, Product Managers and Senior UX Designers in a successful tech company to inform the direction of the platform’s products and services
Gather data from the Sales, Account Management and Customer service teams to identify areas of opportunity while managing expectations on what can be achieved
Manage all aspects of the user research projects including alignment with key stakeholders, recruitment, session scheduling and incentives.
Communicate your findings and recommendations by writing and presenting persuasive and authoritative reports and presentations.
Make meaningful design recommendations considering customer insight, business objectives and technical limitations.
Manage and grow the pool of customers who regularly take part in user research.
Gather quantitative and qualitative customer feedback from multiple sources, analyse the data for patterns and present key findings to senior stakeholders.
Conduct both quantitative and qualitative user research and develop insight using a variety of methodologies such as:
remote and in person usability testing (moderated and unmoderated)
What you’ll need:
A detailed understanding of the theory that underpins experience user research, including relevant principles of psychology. (This could be from a university degree, Masters, bootcamp course, or you may be self-taught).
Practical experience of a wide range of research methodologies acquired either in-house or at an agency/consultancy.
An understanding of how businesses find, serve and retain customers, and measure their success.
You should be able to demonstrate your passion for understanding people in order to design better products and services for them.
Excellent communication skills from internal emails through to presentations.
An ability to create rapport and build relationships with the people you work with.
A collaborative team player with excellent time management skills.
Adaptable and resilient: you are comfortable with ambiguity and can make decisions with incomplete information.
You remain calm under pressure and can work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. You know when to ask for support.
