About the Role
We’re hiring a remote B2B Email Marketing & Automation Specialist to architect and execute intelligent programs that transform how we nurture leads, onboard partners, and drive conversions globally.
You’ll be the strategic owner of our entire email lifecycle — from initial lead nurture to partner onboarding and customer activation. You’ll design journeys that deliver the right message at the right time, using behavioral triggers and segmentation, while guiding content strategy.
This is an opportunity to build the email marketing function from scratch. As we scale, we’re ready to implement a unified Zoho ecosystem strategy with full visibility across touchpoints. You’ll architect our infrastructure, define measurement systems, and shape best practices to support our growth.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE brings 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, or lifecycle marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS or channel-led environments. You’re a systems thinker who understands that great marketing isn’t just about what you send — it’s about when, why, and to whom. You care deeply about automation for delivering consistent value at scale, equally excited by designing nurture logic as crafting compelling subject lines, knowing that success extends beyond opens and clicks to long-term engagement that fuels growth. Your performance will be measured by revenue impact, email engagement metrics (open rates, CTRs, bounce/unsubscribe rates), lead-to-MQL and MQL-to-SQL conversions with CRM attribution, timely deployment of automated journeys, monthly A/B testing with documented results, stakeholder feedback on campaign integration, and list hygiene/deliverability standards.
You’ll be part of the GTM (Go-to-Market) Tribe within the Demand Generation Pod, working alongside the Campaign Strategist, Marketing Automation & Lead Ops specialist, Data & Performance Analyst, and regional BDRs. You’ll collaborate with other GTM tribe pods including Strategic Alliances & Telcos, Regional Growth (NA Reseller Activation, LATAM, EMEA & APAC), Customer Success, and RFPs to ensure your email marketing efforts support broader go-to-market objectives. This position reports directly to the Head of Demand Generation.
You’ll be doing things like:
Email Journey Architecture: Create multi-step email journeys tailored to lifecycle stage, partner type, and behaviour triggers using CRM segmentation and lead scoring; build automated sequences that guide prospects from awareness to consideration; design trigger-based workflows that respond to specific prospect actions
Top of Funnel Nurture Campaigns: Build and manage email workflows in Zoho Campaigns with seamless CRM integration; set up custom landing pages for measurement and attribution; coordinate email timing with social media calendars for consistent cross-channel messaging; orchestrate 7-touchpoint conversion journeys across multiple teams
Mid to Bottom Funnel Conversion Flows: Deploy onboarding journeys for new leads and partners with dynamic content personalized by region and product; create pre-conversion sequences that provide all information needed to convert; develop activation flows that move qualified leads toward sales conversations; create re-engagement sequences for dormant prospects
Email Strategy & Stakeholder Management: Evaluate ad-hoc requests from product, brand, and partner teams for optimal audience targeting; prevent email oversaturation by tracking recent contact history; make strategic timing decisions to avoid message conflicts; collaborate with Campaign Strategist, Content, Regional Pods, and Automation teams
Performance Analytics & Optimization: Analyze email metrics (open rates, CTRs, conversions) to refine content and cadence; use AI tools to test subject lines, body copy, and CTAs; conduct monthly experiments with documented hypotheses and results; maintain clear attribution in CRM dashboards
Deliverability & Compliance Management: Monitor audience health and manage bounce rules and opt-outs; maintain GDPR, CASL, and CAN-SPAM compliance; ensure list hygiene and sender reputation; implement suppression logic for deliverability
Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, or lead nurture, preferably in B2B SaaS, martech, or channel-led environments.
Proficiency in email platforms (Zoho Campaigns preferred; HubSpot, Marketo, ActiveCampaign acceptable) with CRM integration experience
Strong automation mindset designing trigger-based journeys, segmentation logic, and scalable workflows — not one-offs
Data-driven optimization skills with fluency in dashboards, funnel metrics, and performance analysis
Experience building integrated CRM workflows and lead scoring
A/B testing and experimentation experience with documented results
Copy sensibility with ability to write, edit, and structure email content clearly
Knowledge of email compliance (GDPR, CASL, CAN-SPAM) for global campaigns
Highly organized with strong systems thinking
Proactive and performance-oriented with strategic thinking and hands-on execution capabilities
Curious, collaborative, and quick to iterate based on insights
Growth mindset with comfort in rapid testing and learning from failure
Advanced English communication
Bonus if you also have:
Experience in channel-led or partner ecosystems
Hands-on Zoho CRM, Campaigns, Flow, or Analytics experience
Experimentation with generative AI for copy and automation

Position Details
Working Hours: Fixed 9-hour shift, 8AM-5PM Eastern Time Zone (Toronto time), inclusive of a 1-hour break
Full-time vs Part-time: Full-time (40 hours/week, plus an additional 5 hours of break time allocated throughout the week). Exclusivity required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
Level: Intermediate (3-5 years of relevant experience)
Compensation: ZAR 41.6K–45.5K/month (CAD$3,200–$3,500). Structured as a Consultant Agreement (independent contractor), meaning you’ll be responsible for your own taxes, benefits, and insurance.
